Enter the wedding of the year competition

Last year our Wedding of the Year competition was a huge success - readers from all over the region entered for their chance to be crowned with the title. So this year we've decided to run the competition again.

How does it work?

The competition runs from October, 2011 to September, 2012 so if you've already said 'I do', or are planning to tie the knot later this year, we'd love to hear from you.

The wedding must have taken place in Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire to qualify, but aside from that there are no rules: it doesn't matter whether the wedding was large or small; modest or spectacular.

Every issue we'll reveal the shortlisted couples, and readers can then vote online for their favourite newlyweds. The winners of each issue will then go through to the final, which will be held in spring next year.

How to enter

If you'd like to put your wedding forward, simply click on 'I want to enter' link above, where you'll find a short entry form. Once you've filled in your details click 'submit' and, if your entry has been successful, a member of the team will contact you. It's as simple as that.

What’s the prize?

Wedding of the year prize

The overall winners will not only claim the Wedding of the Year title and enjoy seeing their big day featured in Your Herts & Beds Wedding, they'll also win a romantic break at Pendley Manor to include dinner, bed and breakfast.

A Victorian country house hotel, Pendley Manor is nestled within 35 acres of countryside near the picturesque town of Tring. Boasting 73 bedrooms, a 2AA Rosette restaurant and leisure facilities, it is an ideal setting not only for the big day but also a pre-wedding getaway. Ideal for both hen parties and newlyweds alike, the fitness centre has a range of facilities including an indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and steam rooms, gym and aerobics centre, while the state-of-the-art spa has a range of treatments to give you total body bliss.

With a licence for civil ceremonies and partnerships, Pendley Manor has a variety of rooms in which to conduct the vows, while the post-nuptials drinks can be held indoors or al fresco in the grounds. Larger celebrations are welcome, with the venue able to accommodate an evening reception of up to 280 guests.

For more information, call 01442 891 891 or visit the website www.pendley-manor.co.uk.
